Stopped into this restaurant after a nearby visit to the Alice Austen Museum. It was our first visit to Staten Island and it did not disappoint. We had the margherita pizza and spaghetti with clams. Great, classic flavors. Pizza was yummy and pasta was perfectly al dente (the clams tasted fresh too). It has a kind of 'date night' atmosphere that's unmistakable. The staff was also super nice.
First time there , the workers and the owners were super hospitable and friendly. Food was excellent .
Came here again for dinner and had a great experience! Their food was delicious and it was very nice that the chef came by to check on everyone! Our waiter was great too!
Beautiful indoor and outdoor venue! Prime service! Delicious and varied assortment of dining choices as well as magnificent wine list!! Great for private intimate dining as well as parties! Great dinner menu and Happy Hour is fabulous too! Enjoy!!

I do appreciate Massimo reaching out to explain what went wrong with the gnocchi, I love this place and Vinum as well. I don't believe it would have been a problem if he was on the premise that evening.
The moment you walk into the restaurant you are greeted with big smiles and wonderful aromas. The service was very friendly but not well informed. The food however was outstanding. I had the ossobuco and it was tender and delicious. My wife had the chicken.
9/27/23... As you know I get together quarterly with 2 childhood friends. One buddy has been talking about Don Cheech since our last S.I. visit. For drinks, a couple of espresso martinis was a nice way to get our evening started. Just one for me as it was potent.:) Appetizers- We shared two. That being buffalo mozzarella & Prosciutto plus calamari with cherry peppers. Nice kick on that one. Our entrees were Double cut pork chops, chicken Marsala and veal scaloppino sorrentino. My veal dish was excellent. Dinner portions are pretty large. Our server (Jose) answered all our questions about the menu, including our drinks. Dessert, 2 pistachio gelatos and a strawberry cheesecake which was very light. It's a newer place that has Chef Massimo running the show. Just a note, for dinner you will drop some serious coin. Looks like they have a pretty good outside patio and they offer a weekend brunch. Enjoy
